Book using cozy or cosy as part of the mystery title are both acceptable.

National Cozy Mystery Day

National Cozy Mystery Day is an annual event held on September 15 each year. This also happens to be Agatha Christie’s birthday.

The genre of this type of book is often referred to as a Cozy Mystery or Cosy Mystery, depending on where you live. It is considered a sub-genre of crime fiction with additional sub-genres such as Rural Cosy Mysteries might be suggested in any search for more information. Usually it’s found to be an easy read filled with events which should provide you with answers to all the questions, mystery solved!

Cosy mystery books promise some sleuthing, intrigue and characters who may remind you of someone you know. The story does not include blatant references to sex, blood, guts, gore, or profanity (other than the odd possibility of dammit, dang or damn). It will include twists to the plot and innuendo of underlying feelings or attractions between characters. Expect your mind to journey to places you have never considered visiting. And, there will be props that seem foreign, but thankfully, Ann Edall-Robson includes a glossary in the back pages of her Brandi Westeron Series to expand your knowledge and understanding of the lay of the land.
